Itinerary
Day 1 . To Delhi
Fly to Delhi from the UK direct. Overnight on flight.
Day 2 . Bhubaneshwar
After arriving into Delhi fly onto Bhubaneshwar, the capital of Orissa state.
Day 3 . Bhubaneshwar
Enter Orissa, formerly the capital of the Kalinga empire. Visit the temples including the Parasurameswara, Muktesvara, Raja Rani and the Lingaraja temples Evening watch traditional Orissi dance recital at the Rabindra Mandap.
Day 4 . Puri
Drive to Puri enroute visiting Udayagir & Khandagiri caves and visiting the artisan village of Raghurajpur.
Day 5 . Konark
Spend the morning visiting the World Heritage site of Konark to see the "The Black Pagoda". On return to Puri, visit Jaganath temple in heart of the town. Evening stroll along the beach and visit the local markets.
Day 6 . Gopalpur
Depart to Gopalpur, south of the capital visiting India's largest salt water lake. Watch the Chilkas migratory birds nesting and take a leisurely boat trip to its island.
Day 7 . Gopalpur
Day at leisure for independent beach activities.
Day 8 . Rayagada Region
Visit the tribes of Rayagada region, enroute visiting the Langia Soura Villages & Markets.
Day 9 . Jaypore
Continue to Jaypore enroute visiting Chatikona to visit Dongaria Kondh tribes & local Markets.
Day 10 . Onukudeolli
Drive onto rustic Onukudeolli to visit the Bonda & Gadhaba Tribal villages & their markets.
Day 11. Vizac
Continue to Vizac, en route stopping at the Kundali visiting the Parajia tribes & markets, the most isolated tribes of India's famous tribe region.
Day 12 . To Delhi
Drive to Bhubaneshwar for your domestic flight to Delhi. Evening at leisure.
Day 13 . To London
Visit the sights of Delhi including India Gate, Parliament House, Bahai Temple & the Qutab Minar, Rajghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi and India's largest Mosque the Jama Masjid. In time transfer to the airport for your return flight.
