Itinerary
Day 1 . To Delhi
Fly from London to Delhi
Day 2 . Delhi
On arrival transfer to your hotel before your afternoon visit to the Red Fort where you take in a light and dance show.
Day 3 . Amritsar
Depart to Amritsar on the Shatabi Express Service. On arrival visit the Golden Temple, the Durgian temple, the Jalianwala Bagh park and garden of Ram Bagh. Evening visit the Indo-Pak Border known as Bagha Border for the daily border ceremony.
Day 4 . Dharamsala
Head to Dharamsala by train and evening visit the famous street bazaars.
Day 5 . Mcleodganj
Visit the former colonial retreat Mcleodganj, a residence of the Dalai Lama set against the majestic Dhauladhar mountains.
Day 6 . Kangra
Drive to Kangra, visit the Brijeshwari temples, Kangra Fort and the hill resort of Palampur situated on the foothills of Dhauladhar.
Day 7 . Palampur
Visit the Tea gardens of Palampur and the Shiva temple in Baijnath. Continue onto Rewalsar and Baijnath, nearby to Palampur visiting 'the pool of ancient wisdom', a hidden jewel on a wooded hillside. You then head to Mandi visiting the Kullu valley.
Day 8 . Kullu Valley
Spend the day visiting the ancient nine story castle built by queen Chehni, before visiting the inner ranges of the Himalayas in the Kullu valley.
Day 9 . Manali
Drive to Manali situated in the north of the Kullu where you visit the banks of the Beas River and take a light trek around this region.
Day 10 . Manali
Continue to explore this region and its local habitats. Get a taster of mountain life with a village visit to local mountain community. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 11 Simla
Head to Simla the 'ancient summer capital' of British Raj, also known as queen of hill. Visit the quaint houses and teal palaces.
Day 12 . Simla
Visit the Monkey God Temple on the Jhaku hill and the vice regal lodge which is now the house of the Indian institute of Advance studies.
Day 13 . simla
Take a ride on the Simla's world famous British built Toy Train which is in the Guinness book of record as the smallest train line in India with 18 tunnel's Zigzagging across beautiful bridges, sparkling streams in lush dense forests. Later visit the rock gardens and the centre of Simla.
Day 14 . Delhi
Return to Delhi on the Shatabdi express railway service.
Day 15 . London
Visit the Bahai Temple and the Qutub Minar before your return flight.
