Day 1 . Delhi
Fly from London to Delhi
Day 2 . Delhi
On arrival transfer to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
Day 3 . Delhi
Visit the highlights of Delhi including the memorial gardens on 'the father of the nation', Mahatma Gandhi, the Jantar Mantar, the amazing moghul features of the Qutab Minar and the Humayuns Tomb. Evening take it a light and dance show at the Red Fort.
Day 4 . Varanasi
Fly to Varanasi and visit the banks of the gangees on the east and west ghat, witness the Arti procession. Evening take a boat ride along the Gangees river witnessing her activities and Hindu ceremonies.
Day 5 . Khajurahoo
Fly onto the Ancient Temples of Khajuraho, visiting the UNESCO Khajuraho temples. Later visit the markets of Khajurahoo city.
Day 6 . Jhansi/Agra
Visit Jhansi en route by train to Agra. Visit the grand Jhansi fort and its mammoth structure. Following this you later head by train to Agra.
Day 7 . Agra/Ranthambore
Spend the morning visiting the stunning Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Journey onto Ranthambore National Park enroute visiting the sand stone city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Day 8 . Ranthambhore
Take two Tiger Safaris around Ranthambore national tiger reserve in an open canter vehicle. Morning and afternoon safaris with time in between at leisure.
Day 9 . Jaipur
Following a morning Tiger safari, head to Jaipur where you visit the City Palace, the principal residence of the ruling family and the Jantar Mantar
Day 10 . Jaipur
Take an elephant ride up the Amber Hill to the Amber Fort, followed by a visit to the Hawa Mahal and bazaars of the pink city. Evening at leisure.
Day 11 . Udaipur
Depart Jaipur for Udaipur. Visit the Lake Pitcola with a boat ride around the Lake Palace. Continue to visit the Saheliyon Ki Bari, Fateh-Prakash Crystal Gallery & Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum.
Day 12 . Mumbai
Morning transfer to the airport for your internal flight to Mumbai - India's capital of culture and commercialism. Visit the Gateway of India, Marina drive and tea at the Taj Mahal hotel. Later walk down the local beaches of Chapatti.
Day 13 . Mumbai
Morning head to the Elephant caves boat by where you can visit the famous Ganesha elephant carvings and handicraft markets.
Day 14 . Trivandrum
Depart Mumbai to Trivandrum by flight and spend the afternoon and evening at leisure to visit the neighbouring beaches of Kovalam at leisure.
Day 15 . Trivandrum
Full day sightseeing of Trivandrum visiting Observatory of Trivandrum, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, Shanghumukhuam Bach, Kuthriramalika Palace Museum and the Zoological Park.
Day 16 . Kovalam - Alleppey - Kumarakom
Drive to Alleppey where you embark aboard your houseboat cruise on the backwaters. Over the day and night watch the area full of canals, lakes, coves and canoes with vegetable sellers and fishermen sail by. En route visit the coconut palms and lush green rice fields.
Day 17 . Kumarakom/ Cochin
Disembark in Kumarakom and head onto Cochin. Take a sightseeing tour visiting the Jewish synagogue, St. Francis Church, the Santa Cruz Basilica, the Dutch Palace and spice markets in the narrow streets. Afternoon visit the famous ancient Chinese fishing nets left by early century Chinese traders. Evening watch a classic Kathakali dance show.
Day 18 . Return Flight
Spend the morning at leisure taking final moments of the incredible ambiance of Southern India before transferring to the airport for your onward flight
