Itinerary
Day 1 . Delhi
Fly from London to Delhi
Day 2 . Delhi
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel, before visiting the Mughali Red Fort and viewing the evening light and dance show.
Day 3 . Kalimpong
Fly to Bagdogra and drive to Kalimpong with a journey along the picturesque Testa river. Visit the Durphin Gompa located on the top of the towns central hill.
Day 4 . Padung
Visit Padung via the Shabdrung Rimpoche monastery, the French missionary Church and explore the village of Sakyong to meet the Bhutia community.
Day 5 . Gangtok
Continue to Gangtok and spend time visiting the monastry and surrounding nature. Afternoon visit Gangtoks capital, Sikkim. Evening at leisure
Day 6 . Rumtek
Visit the Rumtek monastery also known as the classical Dharma Chakra Centre nearby Gangtok, the seat of the Kagyu order, one of the 4 major Tibetan Budhist sects. Visit the Orchid Sanctuary and the Zoological park.
Day 7 . Sikkim
Visit the valleys of North Sikkim on the Yumthang road which passes the two valleys and the rivers of Lachen and Lachung. Visit the historic towns Lachen monastry.
Day 8 . Lachen
Spend the day viewing the spectacular sights of Lachen at just under 10,000ft
Day 9 . Gangtok
Drive to Gangtok with scenic stops throughout.
Day 10 . Pemayangtse
Visit the Pemayangtse monastery and take a light trek through green forests with its distinctive forest vegetation smell.
Day 11 . Darjeeling
Visit the Khechupelri Lake and take a boat ride on this sacred lake. Visit the Tashiding Monastery and a journey ride on the world famous toy train.
Day 12 . Darjeeling
Visit the tea plantations in the backdrop of the world's highest Mountains, the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and Tiger Hill to view the sunrise over Kanchenjunga and the eastern Himalayas.
Day 13 . Delhi
Fly to Delhi and spend the evening at leisure.
Day 14 . Agra
Spend today on an excursion to visit Agra and the magnificent Taj Mahal and dominating Agra Fort.
Day 15 . Agra
Sightseeing of Delhi including the Bahai Temple, the Qutab Minar, India's largest Mosque the Jama Masjid and Red Fort.
Day 16 . London
Day at leisure before transferring to the airport for your return flight.
