Itinerary
Day 1 . Delhi
Fly from London to Delhi International Airport.
Day 2 . Delhi
Transfer to your hotel upon arrival into Delhi International Airport. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3 . Delhi
Delhi sightseeing tour by private vehicle to Rajghat, the memorial gardens and cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi. Visit the India Gate, Parliament House and the Presidents residence. Later visit the Red Fort and watch the light and classic India dance show.
Day 4 . Jaipur
Drive to the Pink City of Jaipur. Visit the historic City Palace filled with stories of Maharajas and the Jantar Mantar.
Day 5 . Jaipur
Morning take an elephant ride up the Amber Hill, where you visit the labyrinth of marble corridors at the Amber fort. Visit the Hawa Maha and boulevards of the Pink cities bazaars and markets.
Day 6 . To Agra
Onward to Agra via India a visit to the Keoladeo National Park and the deserted red standstone city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Day 7 . Agra
Visiting the Agra Fort built in 1569 on the banks of the river Yamuna; then head to the incredible Taj Mahal for a memorable sunset moment.
Day 8 . To Delhi
Journey onto Delhi where you visit the ambient Lotus temple, the Qutab Minar and Humayuns tomb built with imposing features and deep red coloured sandstone. Evening at leisure.
Day 9 . To Trivandrum/Kovalam
Fly onto Trivandrum, where you transfer to relaxing Kovalam on arrival. which has one of the most famous beaches in India.
Day 10 . Kovalam
Day at leisure on the beach and surrounding Kovalam area.
Day 11 . To Kovalam/Alleppey
Drive to Alleppey where you board your houseboat for a cruise on the backwaters. Cruise part the canals, lakes and coves, and relax on deck as you sail past canoes with vegetable sellers and fishermen. Overnight on the houseboat.
Day 12 . Kumarakom
Disembark at Kumarakom and visit the bird sanctuary located on the banks of the backwaters.
Day 13 . To Cochin
Drive to Cochin visiting the Jewish synagogue in the heart of what is called 'Jew town', the St. Francis Church (which is the oldest European Church in India), the Santa Cruz Basilica (originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese), the Dutch Palace, the spice markets in the narrow streets, and the ancient Chinese fishing nets left by early century Chinese traders. Evening take in a Kathakali dance show.
Day 14 . Cochin
Day at leisure in the Keralan capital city of Cochin.
Day 15 . To London
Transfer to Cochin International Airport for your return flight
